Islanders @ Flyers: Game 9

SUMMARY: Flyers are still struggling to play a full 60 minute game, but as has been the story this season, they found a way to win the game, albeit in OT, but a win is a win, and the Flyers will take it. PERIOD ONE: This was the best period for the Flyers tonight. They outplayed and outscored the Islanders in this period, but it would be their only great period. Flyers started hot, with Jakub Voracek and Claude Giroux working a perfect give-and-go to secure the Flyers first goal of the game to make it 1-0 just 3:38 into the game. We’ve seen Provy do this in a couple other games accidentally, but in those instances Carter and Brian Elliott made the saves; last night it seemed to be an omen of sorts as things were rough for the Gostisbehere/Provorov pairing all night. Carter kept them in the game for pretty much all of the first period. Shots were 8-8, but the Bruins had the better quality chances all period. PERIOD TWO: The Flyers finally found...
